NCP Printing is proud of its relationship between
industry and the environment. We hope to provide a sense
of our company wide commitment to environmental
responsibility and sustainable business practices and
herein outline some specific steps our company has taken
in these areas. Our company is dedicated to the
promotion of innovative business procedures that
minimise our impact on the environment. We are committed
to sustainability.
Environmentally Friendly Paper
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
In January 2008 NCP Printing received Forest Stewardship
Council (FSC) chain-of-custody certification.
NCP Printing actively promotes the use of recycled and
FSC certified papers in the marketplace.
Consumables
Inks
NCP Printing in the vast majority uses vegetable based
inks thereby limiting the use of ozone damaging petroleum
distillates and volatile organic compounds. All waste inks
and containers are recycled.
Computer to Plate
NCP Printing installed CTP technology in its infancy in
1997. This technology is environmentally friendly and uses
only very minor amounts of chemicals. All used plates are
recycled.
Recycling
Paper & Plastic Wastage
All paper and plastic surplus to production is recycled.
Timber Pallets
All timber pallets are recycled.
Solvents
All solvent residual is recycled.
Rags
All rags used in the printing process are laundered with
any waste inks/solvent traces disposed of by official EPA
methods. These rags are recycled for further use.
